TOP OF TEXAS CLASSIC CHEVY CLUB   (aka Chevy Club)

The Chevy Club was started in about 1977.  It was originally a club for 1955, 1956, and 1957 Chevrolets.  Over the years, the club has evolved into one with members owning many kinds of hotrods, or none at all.  The members just share a love of cars.

The club at one time was a member of the National Classic Chevy Club and sponsored a national meet here in Amarillo.

The Chevy Club participates in Panhandle Council of Car Clubs events during the year, including PCCC Make a Wish Show, Meals on Wheels Show, shows sponsored by other clubs in the Council, as well as sponsoring a Cruise Night.

Other activities include attending shows around the area, as well as Regional and National events such as Goodguys, Super Chevy, NSRA, Hot Rod Power Tour, and others.

The Chevy Club sponsors a Fall Cruiser which is a Show and Shine with proceeds to benefit Meals on Wheels.  This show began in 1987, and continues to be an annual event.  We try to provide fun for all who attend, as well as enabling us to make a good donation to worthy cause.  We enjoy an annual Christmas Party that includes exchanging gifts, enjoying good food, and presenting our donation to the Meals on Wheels organization.

Membership is open to anyone who loves cars and wants to be involved in a club, Chevy not required.  Meetings are once a month, presently on the first Wednesday of the month, meeting at the Amarillo National Bank.
